Boom.

Years of silence, and smothering these embers, did nothing but create an explosion.

The knot at the back of the throat:

Begged for release,

Begged for acceptance,

Tightened with every inhale,

Threatened expulsion on every exhale.

Resulting in a sudden energy to explode:

Branching out from the core like fire, 

Scorching veins from the inside out in desperation,

Searching for an escape.

It threatens to ignite jaded fingertips.

It threatens to awaken an apocalypse that would demand revelation.

It cracks off discharge as it dares to regret:

Unearthing hints of resolve within definition,

Sparking sentiments of blinding passion.

It resonates,

Summoning courage to be fuel for the heart.

It detonates.

This one seems to be describing something like an anxiety attack. It speaks of energy building up rapidly and coming forth in an explosion. The line "Begged for acceptance" makes me think this tension is related somehow to a relationship, especially as "blinding passion" is later mentioned. I sincerely hope the detonation didn't leave too much damage.
