So you said, "I cant remember the last time I laughed like this.

So stop, before I wake everyone up."

                                                                            We used to laugh constantly.

So you said, "I hope what I do is for the best this time.

At least for now."

                                                       

  Then you claim you'll say good-bye.

  Just like you've done a million times.

  But letting him right back into your life..

" Yeah. Well, he never left it."

  Things used to be so simple.

  So I said, "He doesn't take any of the blame.

  How are things supposed to change?" 

  

So, you said, "I've invested so much time in this.

How can I just throw years away?"

                                                                            

  Then you go down the list you hate..

  all of his broken promises.

  Well, what's one more when you have ten thousand?

 

"I'll wait for a time I can drink him away."
