This poem is a comparison between life and a fire.

The Flame Of life

Slowly, one step at a time

Your fire is fed,

You become a burning flame,

An individual and ready to go into the world

The flames burning bright for years,

Glowing,

Casting its light upon you,

Giving you chance of light or dark,

Eventually it burns out,

As we all do.

Author's Note

Please enjoy this poem. It’s meant to be about growing up with a goal of going out into the world. But going out into the world armed with knowledge.
Also is that we all die sometime, our flame does burn out. But this poem also tries to tell you to glow!! To choose light or dark, it’s your choice! Your flame!
