Dreams

“Nox, do you really never have dreams?”

“No, never.”

“That sounds so boring. How come you always want to sleep, then?”

“I don’t know. I’m just tired all the time. I think that if I sleep a lot, then maybe some day I won’t feel as sleepy.”

“Oh, I guess that makes… Well, it doesn't make sense. It doesn’t make sense, but I think it does make something.”

“Well, thanks, Elli. That sure does make me feel better.”

“Maybe if you did something to make you more tired before sleeping. Like we could go on a walk! Wouldn’t that be nice, going on a walk?”

“But I don't really want to.“

“But then how will you ever dream?”

“I don’t want to dream.”

“What? How come?”

“I used to have dreams. Lots of dreams. And they were all just the very worst things, Elli. They were just the worst ever.”
