Dressing Room

Dressing Room

A Poem by Sams

How is that funny?
Over and over
The same joke
Hilarious and
Redundant

So out of place
I’ve never felt so
Different
Before, I could pretend
But now I
Am out in the open

All they do
Is touch
And scream
And talk about
Each other.
All I ever hear
Is screaming.

I regret
Trusting it would
Work out
But at least
I could convince
Myself not to worry
And trick
My common sense
Into resigning.
At least I made
It this long
In the dark.
