Spring

Spring

A Poem by Sams

Inside and out,
It smells like rain.
Mom says it just smells musty.
Monday, the sun was out
Tuesday, the clouds crept in
And now the sky pours
It's rain.
The air is thick
And the light is dim.
I sit on the
Carpet
And I wonder when I’ll
Take my next
Adventure.
Winter lingers ever
Now and then,
Seeping into the
Edges of my view
But the air smells
Like spring,
Must and dirt and
Blooming pollen.
Soon, the
Honey suckle
Will unfurl
It’s petals
And it’s sweet
Sugar shall
Sweep across my tongue.
Soon, the birds will
Be merry and
Jovial, their young
Painting across the sky
For their very
First time.
Soon, the water will
Relax
And its lazy
Waves will lap
Up across
The shore
Of the pond
Down the road.
