Invisible AuraA Poem by Marie HarrisonA poem about being detached in the world.
Invisible Aura All around me rain Splashes to the ground, Yet not one drop lands on me, Am I in the twilight zone? I’m perplexed as to why I’m surrounded By others whose Clothing is soaked, Yet mine are Dry as a bone. Every day people Gaze right through me Everywhere I roam. No one hears the Echoes of my voice Or comforts me As I cry and moan. There’s a flood brewing outside And in my vacant heart tonight, I feel so all alone. I yearn to feel the rain and any Surge of pain that Will force me to moan I long for the water to anoint My spirit and purify my heart So my soul will bloom with color, I wish colors of the rainbow Would absorb my aura And make my Body their home.
