Diving In

Diving In

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A fantasy poem.

"

Diving In

It was a fresh crisp starched cotton

Chino skirt Monday morning,

Coffee in hand jetting down

The interstate like a mad woman,

Off to get my new job.

My days of sobs and tears are over,

Bad days are in my rear view window.

My days of grandeur

Are ahead for me to sow.

Days drenched with almond honey

And orange blossoms.

Nights filled with the

Fresh cedar and bourbon.

My fringe benefit from

Working in an office

Stacked with handsome men.

Life is good when

You dive in head first!

Honey Almond and Orange Blossoms, Cedar and bourbon.
Delicious ... It's good to have such fringe benefits :)

Lovely...........a great element of new beginnings and opportunities, handsome men ........scents, and the feeling of a fresh start.
