The Old Oak TreeA Poem by Marie HarrisonA southern ghost poem that took place in the times of the civil war.
The Old Oak Tree Levitate your way to me, Captain Charming. Let’s go kiss behind the old oak tree, underneath the purple hanging wisteria. Surrender all your worries at the revolving door of the old oak tree. The sugar sand beaches where we’ll run and roam, there’s only room for smiles, moans and chocolate smores. The Lords of gloom and doom have gone to bed. Let’s have some fun, while they rest their heavy heads. The time to be carefree and loose is now, before time runs out, and we feed the trees.
