Your Lips Are My DrugA Poem by Marie HarrisonA poem about kisses.
YOUR LIPS ARE MY DRUG Your yummy luscious lips are Like a drug to me Melting me like butter slowly. They make me want to Sway my hips or cut A rug, dancing round and round In a series of circles, Each time your moist lips Brush against my pink Bubble gum lips. Their tender caress and boyish grin cause me To do zany outlandish things, Like shave my head Mohawk style, Wear shiny disco clothing Singing Swedish Abba love songs for Of a sea of strangers, Or go to horrid scenes like Redneck NASCAR races, where I’d Never be caught dead before. Your lips make me dream About being your red tube Of your cherry chapstick all day, So I could kiss and soothe Your sore bruised lips that I used and abused By my cat-nip kisses the night before. Your lips intoxicate me Each time we French kiss, Like the smoothest sip of cognac, They bring me pure bliss When I kiss them, Over and over. They make my lips say “I Love You” Because my pounding heart tells Me louder and louder, With each irregular beat That each time You kiss me, I love you more And more.
