Cowards Of The Sky

Cowards Of The Sky

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A tribute to those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

"

Cowards Of The Sky

Shards of glass

And plumes of smoke

From the blast

Didn’t last forever

They only made us choke.

Did you think the

Power to make the

Twin towers crumble

To bits would make

The Red White and Blue

Cower to the ground?

The sharp beak of this

Mighty eagle will

Pierce your

Soft squishy flesh.

The Majestic West

Is blessed by the Roar of the Lion,

The Maker of the Lands.

Because as a Nation

We rise as we

Build people up,

Unlike rebel cowards

Who grow tall

By making people

Fall to their death

Without any

Notice at all.

Very good and emotional poem, however I differ from you when you said that they grow tall by making people fall to their death. In my opinion, when they make other people fall to their death, its the cowards who fall, and the those who died are the ones who are risen up because they are the better people. Good poem though, and I hope another 9/11 will never happen again.

one side dies with the hope of taking lives.

the other side dies with the hope of saving lives.

Very nice Marie....the wolves in sheeps clothing will never do more than pick off a few, a sad thing...and when they are crushed it's my worry that some fool will think we were to harsh and they too deserve a spot in this world....those idiots should be fed to the wolves
