Summer Drifts As Winter SlidesA Poem by Marie HarrisonChanging of the elements
Summer Drifts As Winter Slides White flakes of coconut Shower me all year long Bells ring-a-ling-a-dong For the church bells Play Christ’s song Surfboards turn to sleds As we drift down the mountain Till our pants are water logged Chocolate ice cream turns To hot chocolate as Little hearts dream By the yuletide logs Swim suits magically Appear as ski suits As up the snow lift jogs Surf’s up kitty as Snow is falling Down on this winter dog
