Summer Drifts As Winter Slides

White flakes of coconut

Shower me all year long

 

Bells ring-a-ling-a-dong

For the church bells

Play Christ’s song

 

Surfboards turn to sleds

As we drift down the mountain

Till our pants are water logged

 

Chocolate ice cream turns

To hot chocolate as

Little hearts dream

By the yuletide logs

 

Swim suits magically

Appear as ski suits

As up the snow lift jogs

 

Surf’s up kitty as

Snow is falling

Down on this winter dog

I love the metamorphosis in each stanza. It makes me think of Fall. How it is warm in the beginning like Summer, but slowly but surely transitions into the cold that foreshadows the coming Winter. Ice cream to hot cocoa is a great one, the Summer it is the contrast of the cold ice cream, but becomes the opposition to Winter when it melts and heats to become hot coca. Nice poem!

wow! Nice changes it will make! Very magical write! It's very hard for me to tell what's my favourite lines here, cause I love them all! I wish the place I live now will held this changes too! Now it's still freezing, but it's very sunny, I wonder when will this chnages held here!!!!
