Peaceful Christmas

Peaceful Christmas

A Poem by Marie Harrison

Peaceful actions of the seasons stir

Peaceful Christmas

Candlelight flickers

With shadows on the wall

Guitar strums

Pierce the air

Kitten slinks across

The room with tinsel

In her mouth

While Christmas unwraps

The night away

Very nice, has a rather peaceful air to it. I really like the kitten pic you used on this piece.

Wouldn't be so relaxing...I'd have to chase the kitten to get the tinsle away from it...it would hide in the shadows....I'm sure I'd bump my head

Too short by far, and it does not rhyme or follow a true poetic structure. Even so, it is quite amusing and warm! Arguably, perhaps a reasonably effective attempt at self-expression. Either way, I'm sure that Marie quite enjoyed writing it!
