The Embarrassment of a Lesser God

A bad night for a forgotten god. Inspired by the phrase, "It was a dark and stormy night."

Thor’s butt bounced on a rain slicked sidewalk. Centuries passed since anyone offered him an animal sacrifice or deed of praise.

“Great,” Thor muttered, “all that’s missing is some lightning.”

A bolt of lightning struck ten meters away singeing Thor’s long, white beard.

“Funny!” Thor thundered, “You up there! When you fall, you’ll fall too!”
