Pat, Pat, Snap!

Emily Lucerne proudly demonstrates her father's aquarium.

“Dogs? No! Even street ragamuffins maintain their scraggly curs,” young Emily boasted.

She displayed  her  father ‘s partially sunken aquarium replete with oceanic aquatica.  Bruno, their thresher shark, swam to her side.  She patted it twice before it snapped.

Examining Emily's stump, Doctor Bernadotte remarked, “The rich afford themselves many indulgences, but insufficient common sense.”
