The Power of the PenA Poem by Sassy CEOAn emotional account of using words to hurt.As the blood raced though my veins, I poured my heart out on the page, releasing me of my pain, freeing me of my rage/ realizing the power of the pen, I used it to strike back, spreading ink like venom, launching my attack/ maybe I should have surrendered and taken the higher road, but provoked by emotion, I felt my story must be told/ with loaded ammunition, the pen as my weapon of choice, I scribbled away my fears, and I inscribed myself a voice/ But now I wonder, was it worth it in the end? Tearing down another’s character, in the name of sweet revenge/see the problem with using the pen to injure and disgrace is that ink is usually permanent, leaving a stain you can’t erase.
