In my space

In my space

A Poem by chr66is

My heart is a star,

the center of my solar system,

emitting brilliant rays of

blinding love too intense for

direct exposure.

My soul is a fertile planet,

nourished by and dependent

upon its stellar companion,

flourishing and growing in

millions of different ways.

My mind is my soul’s moon,

forever orbiting and twisting

so that, for all its hyper motion,

it remains half-bright and warm

and half-dark, cold, and lonely.

Our love lives in my soul,

is nurtured by my heart,

and somehow survives

the warped gravitation of

my ever-spinning mind.
