The HunterA Poem by PrelivingFor the hunted.Blood red. Dribble, drip.
Life obscured by
“rebellion” Stripy sleeves fade
slowly. Whispered lives brought to
the fore the dead of night brings
life to light.
Chocolate brown. Scratch, scratch.
Longing and lust play on
faces. Giggles and grins pressed
into pillows. Rushes of warmth swell
into bloom eyes hide from joy as
heads spin.
Pink as petals. Hidden? Hid.
A slap in the face. Burst of heat. Falling, falling, further
and further saved by a twisted parachute.
White as snow. Perfectly pure.
No tears of pain. Monotony numbs the
sharpest stab. Always too good to be true shame, regret,
disappointment are old friends.
