Hole in my Heart

A poem I wrote that was inspired by a book I was reading.

I can still see your face
Every night when I close my eyes
I can't believe you left me in this place
This place I despise

You left a hole
Where my heart used to be
I can't let go
Because we were met to be

When you said you loved me
Was that just a lie
When you said you didn't want me
Was that just to make me cry

I went to your place
Just to see if I could feel you
But you left without a trace
I still love you

Not a day goes by that I don't think of you
I can still hear your voice in my head
I will always love you
That is what you said

Well written expression of the pain experiened during a break-up. It's so hard to let go when you have so much hope. Unfortunately he seems to have hurt you badly, and you deserve better! Hang in there! Nice Write :-)
