The Cat

The Cat

A Poem by Cassidy Mask
"

Observations of a cat

"

The cat’s eyes open

It takes in everything

With one glance.

Its up

Prowling its territory

Stalking everything that moves.

It pounces

A feather

A shoe

A butterfly

A plant

It stares

It sees all

Knows all.

Blink.

Dismisses everything

The cat is the master

In his own eyes.

Comes and goes

As he pleases.

Now you see him

Now you don’t.

quite a quirky topic to write poems on. but this one is quite hilarious and enjoyable to read instead of cat-astrophic. Tom would've been proud!
