The End of TimeA Poem by Cassidy Mask
I balance on the edge of time, My fingertips brush the solar system My hair ripples with the creeping tide, The sky below me Is shot through with golden strands, And the fields above are red With the blood of a thousand battles. I dip my toes in the night sky Sending ripples across the universe, My elbows rest against Saturn’s rings My chin on my star-singed palms, The light of the quickly dying sun Brushes my frozen eyelids. And I step over the edge, Falling Out of time just in time
