The End of Time

The End of Time

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

I balance on the edge of time,

My fingertips brush the solar system

My hair ripples with the creeping tide,

The sky below me

Is shot through with golden strands,

And the fields above are red

With the blood of a thousand battles.

I dip my toes in the night sky

Sending ripples across the universe,

My elbows rest against Saturn’s rings

My chin on my star-singed palms,

The light of the quickly dying sun

Brushes my frozen eyelids.

And I step over the edge,

Falling

Out of time

just in time

wow... just wow.

And the fields above are red
With the blood of a thousand battles.
I dip my toes in the night sky

i love this so much, especially these lines, your imagery is so detailed and vivid, like bethan said, wit such simple words, it's amazing, and i love the "falling out of time, just in time" that's a really lush phrase, awesome :)

This is awesome, you are amazing at painting really vivid pictures with such simple words!

The light of the quickly dying sun
Brushes my frozen eyelids.
And I step over the edge,

Falling
Out of time

just in time

LOVE it!!!
