Dusk

Dusk

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

Sun into Moon

Water into Sky

Light into Darkness.

Dusk comes

Dusk goes.

From so many colours

To just one

Covering everything

A thick blanket

Like tar

Spreading

Inky blackness.

Stars like raindrops

Splattered on the window pane

Blinking

Like eyes staring, twinkling, beckoning.

The Dusk is gone.

The night is over.

Soon Dawn will begin
