Teardrop

Teardrop

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

Teardrop

Runs

Down my cheek

Leaving a wretched trail

Teardrop

Falls

Shatters

A million tiny fragments

Of despair

They bite into my skin

Imbedding

Themselves in flesh

Teardrop

Glistens

On the page

Spreading

Forming words

Drying

Teardrop

Locked

In the story

Forever
