Silent Dreams

Silent Dreams

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

I hold these

Silent Dreams

In my

Palm

They twinkle

Softly

Like the light

Of a

Dying star

They glint

Sadly

Like flame

Reflecting off

Cold steel

They are

Almost gone

Almost

Forgotten

Buried under

Pessimism

And

Doubt

But still they

Shine dully

Trying

To tempt

Me

To make

Me

Remember

What it felt

Like

To hold them

In my

Heart.
