Morning

Morning

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

I fold myself

Into the quiet stillness

Of morning

Wrapped in warm blankets

Head on pillow

The world around me

Is calm

For a moment

Soft grey light

Peeking

Through my open curtains

Dreams fade

Into the

Coarse

Harshness of

Reality

But I reach

Out

Trying to hold on

Just for

A little longer
