On a Street Corner

On a Street Corner

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

 Standing

On a street corner

Staring

At the sky

As the snow falls

Cars pass

People too

A chilly smile

Gracing cold lips

Beads

Of ice

Caught in hair

Melting against

Skin

Pale sun

Shines dimly

Through

Thin light falls

Down from

Between black

Clouds

And I see it all

As I stand

On a street corner

In the falling

Snow
