Death By Family

Death By Family

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

Suffocation

Their breath was

Hot

On my spine

Carbon Dioxide

Filling my lungs

Straight from

Their throats

Stale

Air

Choking me

Suffocating

Suffocation

Suffocated

Drowning

Their words

Swallowed

Me up

I reached out

Trying to

Reach the

Safety of my

Room

But the words

Kept

Coming

Waves breaking

Over my head

Drowning

Drowning

Drowned

Explosion

It was only

A matter

Of time

Their shouting

Was bound

To induce

Some reaction

It was my

Head

That is

Exploding

Explosion

Exploded
