I Watched

I Watched

A Poem by Cassidy Mask
"

A Pantoum

"

            I watched you

            Through the mirror

            I watched

            As she died

            Through the mirror

            I stole your soul

            As she died

            I stole your life

            I stole your soul

            You barely noticed

            I stole your life

But you were watching her too

            You barely noticed

            When your veins ran dry

But you were watching her too

            Maybe that stopped the pain

            When your veins ran dry

            You just closed your eyes

            Maybe that stopped the pain

Maybe I should have helped you

            You just closed your eyes

            I watched you

Maybe I should have helped you

            I watched
