Ceiling Crack

Ceiling Crack

A Poem by Cassidy Mask
"

A true event (almost) :)

"

There’s a crack in the ceiling

She observed

Staring at the long

                        Dark line

Our ceiling fell in

Another shouted

Dropped that thought

A different whispered

Her brow furrowed

In concentration

As she tried

                        To no avail

            To remember

Where were we

            They asked

Trying to recreate

The image

But the thought

            Was lost

Lydia

            Lydia

The thought that could

            Have

            Saved the World

Lost to interruption

Lost to disruption

Lydia

            Lydia

The thought that could

            Have

            Saved the World

Now the gap has grown

Half

The earth

            Falls

            Away

There’s a crack in the ceiling

She observed
