The End Is Nigh

The End Is Nigh

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

They told me I was crazy

(You believed their every word

Even when you

Knew

The truth)

And that was the end.

Breakdown

Doesn’t quite cover it

My dear

But I’ll let you fuss

With your kind words

And kinder heart

(But why can’t you just

See the truth

In my ‘crazy’ words)

The end is nigh

The end is nigh

The end is nigh

My hands are shaking

And I watch them

Wondering

What you see in my

(Crazy)

Eyes

The end…

(What’s this knotted rope)

…Is nigh

The knife in my hand

Tells me how

To become a hero

(I’m not crazy)

Whispering brightly

Of red garments

But

(I’m not crazy)

My hands

Just go right on

Shaking

Hold me

It whispers

Use me

Robe me

In folds of crimson

(I'm not crazy)

I'M NOT CRAZY

Imnotcrazy

But the end is nigh

The end is nigh

The end is…

(Hold me)

(I'm not crazy)

(Use me)

(I’m not crazy)

(But the end is…)

(The end is…)

I'm not crazy

(The end is…)

nigh.
