I think I'm dying. You said. But I denied it, You’re not You’re not I promise… I think I’m dying But now your voice is A more distant Murmur, Fading back Into the depths Of my memory. You’re not But you were. And I broke my promise That day A promise made, Even as I watched The crimson Blossom Across your white shirt. You’re not I promise… But I knew, I knew before I said The words, That they were a lie. I knew then, As I promised The opposite, That you were going to die. But I said it anyway:
