Ghost

Ghost

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

Jesus

Are you listening?

I think I’m the one

You forgot.

God

Are you out there?

I know that I owe

You a lot.

Spirit

Can you hear me?

I just want to learn

How to leave.

Isn’t

Anyone out there?

I just want to learn

How to be.

‘Cos the blood

Has dried already

And I know I’ve

Been long dead

But my spirit’s

In my chest

And my mind’s

Still in my head

And the more I

Keep on thinking

The more I start

To doubt

That you can

Really hear me

- that you hear me

When I shout

Jesus

Are you listening

God

I need your help

Spirit

Don’t forget me

(GOD

I NEED YOUR HELP)

‘Cos I’m a ghost

And I am drifting

I’m a ghost

In need of talk

For days now I’ve

Been drifting

While avoiding those

Who walk

‘Cos it hurts when

They look through me

It hurts

That they can’t see

The person stood

In front of them

The person

That is me…
