The Destruction Of The DestroyedA Chapter by Cassidy MaskThis chapter should really be somewhere in the middle of the story, but as this book has no sense of chronological order: it is here, at the beginning...
A ghost of a smile flits across pursed lips. Even in these last moments as he watches everything he knows fall apart, he cannot help but appreciate the perfection of his destroyer. And as she limps slowly towards him he feels himself lower his sword. He does not want to kill this evil angel who has fallen into his life, despite the destruction she has caused. Ten metres from him, his destroyer stops; she feels no such aversion to his end. From the inside of her coat she pulls a gun, and, watching his eyes widen, she pulls the trigger. And brings about the destruction of the destroyed.
