Windows And Doors Of The Soul

This chapter isn't really from anyone's POV but it (should) help you to understand a bit more about the character of the boy later on...

The eyes are the windows to the soul, but a smile is the door, and if invited in you can see inside a person without needing to spy. Sure, things can be hidden, doors left unopened, secrets kept. But you're less likely to be accused of prying - of sticking your nose in where it isn't wanted.

Of course, you may not be invited in through the door, in which case the windows are the only option. But bear in mind that windows give off reflections - make sure it really is the other person's soul your peeking at - you may not like what you see...
