Designer ChildrenA Poem by Cassidy Mask
You walk the streets to brag Your latest fashion statement It’s not a handbag this time Nor a special hat No Designer Children are the latest fad You chose the glittering eyes And the ebony hair The height And the bone structure You chose a quiet Personality So they wouldn’t be A hassle And you eliminated all possibilities Of physical or mental illness Because Designer Children are the latest fad But you don’t want the baggage Of true motherhood So you eradicated Any negative (childish) Attributes In the hope They wouldn’t need A real mother Hugs and affection are so not the way forward But Designer Children are the latest fad And you’ll not be the odd one out. © 2009 Cassidy Mask |
