My Sun

My Sun

A Poem by Cassidy Mask
"

Wrote this a while ago. Can't even remember what it was about...

"

I feel like I shall choke

On all these unsaid thoughts

Can’t swallow

As the words come spewing out

Filling my mouth

            My throat

With their bitter flavour

And the door shuts

The only light goes out

This is what misery looks like

This is a taste of your past

(They say farewell like goodbye

But it’s more like good luck)

We were young once

And we believed in good luck

Now we wonder where we got

Such blind faith

(Because) the door has shut

The only light gone out

When death is the only

Sense of achievement

I hope you’re happy

(You were the sun

To my new moon)

So this is for you

Every tear

(But you were never much

Of a shoulder)
