Hunter

Hunter

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

Eyes,

Two black pools of never-ending darkness,

Open to the shadowed world.

I can see every movement,

Every breath that clouds the sky,

Recycled air.

I am the hunter.

A thousand stars hang above,

Holding their breath,

As they wait.

They know what I am.

And they watch,

Greedily awaiting their chance to shine.

But I am the hunter.

And I know all.

I am the hunter,

And you are the prey.

Oooh I like it! Well written indeed. It is pensive and gives the feeling of a real hunter and animal.

Great job!
