Senselessness (I Want To Lose)

Senselessness (I Want To Lose)

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

I want to lose these shoes

To the water that tugs at my ankles

And float away

On pain-free currents

‘Til I can’t remember the paths

I’ve left behind

And I wake to find myself:

Driftwood on a rising tide

I want to lose these thoughts

In the endless cycle of emotions

And forget that I ever lived

Through sheer will-power

‘Til I’m finally free

Of all thought process

And I wake to find myself:

Lacking existence

I want to lose my head

In the miles of sky above

And dream away

The dark corners of my mind

‘Til my eyes are forced wide open

By the bright light inside

And I wake to find myself:

A struck match in a petrol station

I want to lose my sanity

In the monotony of steps

And step, step, step

Nothing gained but nothing lost

‘Til my mind is spinning with thoughts

Far from helpful

And I wake to find myself:

Half way to madness

And I want to lose these words

‘Cos they’re all that’s holding me here

And as soon as I stop typing

I know I will cease to exist

So here it is

Just after this full stop

(.)

(I always wanted to lose)

There's a depth on your write. The thought flows so liquid. I appreciate you sharing the idea, the write. When you say you always wanted to lose, it sounds deeper though, and readers like me would loke to sink into your deeper feelings, the surface ain't enough. Though i wouldn't recommend the usage of word 'pertorl' there. It somehow makes the entire para materialisitc
