Camouflage Paint

Camouflage Paint

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

The bathroom is filled

With camouflage paint

I layer it on

As I stand in front of the mirror

Because it’s a warzone

Out there

And it’s best to be invisible

Or they’ll shoot you down

Blow you up

Stab you in the back

The bathroom is filled

With camouflage paint

Each bottle a different

Shade of grey

To make me invisible

I pull on my bulletproof vest

As I leave the house

And run into the crossfire

Just like any other day
