Flightless

Flightless

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

A sky

Heavy with blackish clouds

Behind a window

Glittering with

Raindrops

She sat

Head bowed

Tiny body

Shivering in the

Winter cold

Wings closed

Head bowed

She sat

Wings closed

Like she’d lost herself

Lost the way
