Slick And Shiny

Slick And Shiny

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

You’re slick
And you’re shiny
And you watch me unflinchingly
As you sit
Innocent
And silent.

My hands are bleeding
My nails
Snapped clean off
But you just
Watch disdainfully
As I claw at you
Searching for
A release.

An escape.

My eyes burn.
They’re red
And leaking tears
Like a burst pipe.

I cry out,
But you don’t answer.
You don’t care.

Because you’re
Slick
And you’re shiny.
And it’s easy to wash
The blood off later…
