And I Gave It A Long Name To Make Up For The Lack Of Poetical Content

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

You sit back

Put your feet up

And take a rest

While we nod knowingly,

You did just design a universe

After all.

Meanwhile...

The earth shines

Like a brand new marble

Polished to perfection

The water’s blue

And fresh.

Unpolluted.

The grass is green

(Green indicates success.)

And it sways appetizingly

Silk-like.

And the humans

Are perfection itself.

As yet too stupid to

F**k it all up.

I dont believe in God, but I agree with Beth that as a species, we can be pretty darn clever, and getting smarter as the world gets older. You are living proof of this, Claire. And I agree with other Beth that rome is amazing and I'm so going on that st davids trip(:

and again, great title :D

in reply to Bethan's comment, i use the argument of freewill, and actually we're cleverer than we think we are, we just don't... think about our decisions. so that's my argument to the existance of God =) otherwise GREAT POEM, i really like it, the earth shines, like a brand new marble, polished to perfection. really good :)

Hmmmm love it!! (If there is a god why did he make us so stupid?)

Edit: Sorry just realised you used the bit from the ceiling of the cistine chapel for the picture, awesome!! (sorry I have a slight obession with rome atm...you know if you go to sd there's a pilgrimage to rome..hint hint...) Sorry anyway, shall also renew my love for this poem...and to beth...well that's actually a pretty good argument, but really it was claire who said it first!!

...Sorry Claire...
