Couldn't Let Him Win

Couldn't Let Him Win

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

I stood outside

And he within

I longed to feel

Rain on my skin

But his cruel words

Made such a din

That with a knife

I went back in

You see

I couldn’t let him win.

amazing, obviously. maybe it's me, but i didn't notice the rhming until i read beth's review, which, unless it is just me, i think is a really good thing because it just adds to the poem, the almost playful last two lines that are really hard hitting! (Or maybe I'm just rambling)
