I Wish I Was Less Afraid

I Wish I Was Less Afraid

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

I wish I could go to the sea

And stand in the waves

Wish I could drown.

I wish I could go to the circus

And watch the acrobats

Wish I could run away.

I wish I could go to the city

And stand on a skyscraper

Wish I could jump.

I wish I could go to the jungle

And watch the birds

Wish I could fly.

I wish I could go to space

And see the stars

Wish I wasn’t scared.

I wish I was less afraid.

I might then

Do the things

I wish for.
