Green Glitter

Green Glitter

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

We sit in a silent circle

Eyes down.

You contemplate the greater

Workings of human emotion,

And I frown,

Cursing the glitter

That sticks to my fingertips

And I feel so deep

I could laugh out loud

At the

Ridiculous expressions

On our shimmering faces

You look up

And grimace

As I flick a sparkling flake

Off the tip of your nose

‘Why do you hate glitter so much?’

You demand.

‘It was green.’

I explain.

And we nod like it all makes

Perfect sense now.

I really DON'T get your hatred of glitter...it's just glitter, it doesn't hurt you, it just sits there and glitters....it will go away eventually and then it won't glitter, no harm done!

Apart from that, awesome poem, loved it!
