Green GlitterA Poem by Cassidy MaskWe sit in a silent circle Eyes down. You contemplate the greater Workings of human emotion, And I frown, Cursing the glitter That sticks to my fingertips And I feel so deep I could laugh out loud At the Ridiculous expressions On our shimmering faces You look up And grimace As I flick a sparkling flake Off the tip of your nose ‘Why do you hate glitter so much?’ You demand. ‘It was green.’ I explain. And we nod like it all makes Perfect sense now. © 2010 Cassidy MaskReviews
