This Is What My Life Consists Of

This Is What My Life Consists Of

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

I stare blankly at the ceiling

And I try not to cry

This is what my life consists of now

There used be something more

A driving force

But now...

Nothing

I stare at the ceiling

And it takes all my concentration

To NOT think

Because that would be

The fatal act

I stare blankly

And I try

NOT to picture your face

And I try not to cry

But that’s more difficult

Than it sounds

And I find

I frequently fail

This is what my life consists of now
