The Inconvenience Of Invincibility

The Inconvenience Of Invincibility

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

Their swords

Crumple against your

Armoured skin

As you move through them

And you acknowledge

With a bitterness

Bordering contempt

That you were made for this

And that

They designed you well

The fragile collapse

Around you and

You smile grimly

As you lick the poison

From their lips

You long for death

But you’re invincible

And you’ll live to see

The end

This is gripping(? i don't think that's the right word) we all wish we could be around for ever, but then things like this shake us and show us the other side of it.

Loved it!
