The Now

The Now

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

Life used to be easier

They say. But...

It's not true. Rose-tinted memories...

Truth is

We’ve always been this way.

But with shorter hair

And better skin.

Truth is

We’ll always be this way.

But with greyer hair

And less thin.

Truth is

It doesn’t matter.

It’s always going to be the

Now we have to live in.

True.
I like this because it's raw and real.
