Can't Let This Drop

Can't Let This Drop

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

Narrowed eyes

Sensing lies

Fingers tap

Nails snap

Fists clench

To firmly wrench

But you stand resolute

Lips curl

Hands unfurl

But I won’t stop

Won’t let this drop

You smile

It’s not your style

But you’ll fight back

If I attack

I lift a hand

Clenched in a fist

You understand

You get the gist

While I’m alive

I’ll never stop

While I’ve got drive

Can’t let this drop

I love this! The rhythm is perfect for the angry feeling that just resonates from this! (Oh dear that sounded pretentious....) Why are your poems angry all the time by the way???
