Tears Of Trees

Tears Of Trees

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

The trees cry

For the woes of the world

Bodies soaked with tears

Leaves drooping

But as the sun comes out

Dries their tear streaked skin

They are more cheerful

Than ever

For now

Having cried for such miseries

They are at leisure to think

Only of what is good

And despite everything

There is much to make

Them dance and be happy

Much to make them glad

I love this! It's very...somber, but happy at the same time and the imagery is lovely!

This is great imagery. I love how tall pine trees perpetuate the rain for about an hour after the clouds have stopped.

This piece made me remember the distinct sound of those pine tree rain drops.
